Compression Therapy

What is compression therapy? Compression Therapy utilizes dynamic pressure patterns that may help the body improve circulation, improve blood flow, and prevent a number of lymphatic and circulatory conditions.

During compression therapy, the patient wears specialized sleeves and boots for a period of time on their legs. These sleeves and boots generate a PULSE massage through pressure caused by inflation.

A wide range of patients may benefit from compression therapy. Such as athletes or women who are pregnant.

What Does Compression Therapy Feel Like?

Many patients describe compression therapy as feeling like a blood pressure cuff being pumped. The sleeves or boots worn during therapy will pulse and apply pressure that will intensify and lessen. This pressure acts like a massage, and many find this to be relaxing and often enjoy their sessions.

Normatec Compression Therapy is usually 30 minutes per treatment and ranges from three to five sessions per week. Depending on your goals, the frequency of the sessions may vary.
